STRATEGIES

Rules,
in practice.

A few of the rule-based strategies we run on Tradetron. Each one is described by what it trades and how it manages risk, never by past results.

STRATEGY 01 · NIFTY

NIFTY Strategies Basket V2

  • Intraday
  • STBT
  • Weekly positional
  • Hedged overnight

A basket of several low-correlated option strategies on NIFTY running together, so no single market condition or idea carries the whole position.

HOW IT WORKS

  • Combines intraday, STBT (sell today, buy tomorrow) and weekly positional setups.
  • Blends directional and non-directional strategies.
  • Runs on a weekly cycle and can be started at any point in the cycle.

RISK CONTROLS

  • Overnight positions are hedged with options.
  • Stop losses at three levels: each leg, each strategy and the whole basket.
  • Exposure is spread across several setups to reduce concentration.

STRATEGY 02 · SENSEX

SENSEX Basket V1

  • Intraday
  • STBT
  • Weekly positional
  • Hedged overnight

A multi-strategy basket on SENSEX options that balances intraday and overnight setups, built on the same diversified approach as our NIFTY basket.

HOW IT WORKS

  • Combines intraday, STBT and weekly positional strategies.

  • Splits allocation between intraday and overnight strategies.
  • Can be started on any trading day, Monday to Friday.

  • Rule-based exits on every strategy in the basket.

STRATEGY 03 · NIFTY

  • Hedged

A positional, hedged option-selling strategy on NIFTY that takes a bullish or bearish stance based on its market-view rules.

HOW IT WORKS

  • Bullish view: sells a put option and buys a farther out-of-the-money put as a hedge.
  • Bearish view: sells a call option and buys a farther out-of-the-money call as a hedge.
  • Strikes for both the short and hedge legs are chosen from option prices (LTP).
  • Holds positions overnight.

RISK CONTROLS

  • Predefined stop loss and target on every trade.
  • Out-of-the-money hedge leg limits the impact of overnight gaps.
